The Origin

What Is Shaoguan Tea?

Shaoguan sits at 24.5°N — the same subtropical latitude as Yunnan and Fujian — where ancient tea trees grow wild at 500–1,200m in mist-shrouded mountains. At its heart lies Luokeng, home to over 40,000 wild ancient tea trees, the densest concentration in China. These are not plantation teas — they come from wild forests that have sustained tea culture for over a millennium.

Our Story

From Luokeng’s Ancient Forests to Your Cup

Deep in the Luokeng Nature Reserve, wild tea trees have thrived for centuries at altitudes above 800 meters. Generations of mountain communities have tended these ancient trees by hand — climbing branches, selecting leaves, and preserving traditions that predate modern tea plantations.

Veritea is our commitment to bring this heritage to the world — testing every batch, recording every GPS coordinate, documenting every step from leaf to cup. This isn’t just tea. It’s a fully documented journey from one of China’s most pristine tea territories.
